Shoreview School of Music is a community music school in Shoreview, Minnesota, founded in 2026 by local resident, parent, and musician Tyrus Thompson. The school provides high quality private music lessons designed to support school band programs and individual musical goals.

Tyrus brings years of professional performance experience from touring nationally in punk, ska, and rock and roll bands. Opening in Fall 2026, Shoreview School of Music will offer one on one music lessons in piano, guitar, brass, and percussion for students ages 8 to 18. Programs are designed for beginners and developing musicians and follow a clear path of progression.
